    Shaker Covers Tutorials & Inspiration

Shaker Covers are an easy way to get creative and get your cards shaking!  Watch the video to see how to use them or follow the steps below.

    • Start with a panel of cardstock or patterned paper to adhere the Shaker Cover to.
    • Cut the panel 1/8" smaller than the Shaker Cover size.
      • A2 Shaker Covers are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", cut the panel to 4 1/8" x 5 3/8".
      • Small Slimline Shaker Covers are 3 1/2" x 6", cut the panel to 3 3/8" x 5 7/8".
    • Once you cut the panel, embelish it if you wish. Stencils and ink blending work well to add to interest and decoration to the panel. Don't overdue it. You want to add a little interest without overwhelming the shaker pieces.
    • Make sure you remove the protective covering from the front of the shaker cover.
    • Place the shaker cover front side down. Center the panel - front side of the panel to shaker cover. Remove the adhesive strip from one of the end flaps. Fold it up and secure it to the panl.eThe adhesive should be on the backside of the panel. Repeat for 2 more end flaps.
    • This is a good time to embellish the front of the Shaker Cover.
    • Next, add the shaker pieces. Don't overfill. And secure the final flap. Your shaker pieces are now enclosed.
    • Adhere the shaker panel to a card base and complete your card.
